The American Vintage '59 Stratocaster comes in two versions of this pivotal year: one dating from the early 1959 year, the other marketed later that year. Each offers the handle end shaped maple "C" of this famous year. The first has a maple fingerboard, a three-tone sunburst finish and a faded white pickguard (one fold) in eight holes. The second (three tones Sunburst finishes faded, faded Sonic Blue and Black Limited Edition) has a key "slap board" rosewood, a plate (three folds) to ten holes Mint Green color and chamfers vintage. Each model also has a lightweight alder body, potentiometer control aged plastic and vintage microphones, bridge saddles and a mechanical spacing in the purest tradition of the time.
